The Sanctuary Project needs your support! The in-depth collaborations between poets, composers and performing musicians, the involved creative process and uniting, yet media-transcending exploration of Sanctuary make this project truly unique in its kind.
We have commissioned more than ten poems and five major chamber works, which represents a major addition to the contemporary poetry and chamber music repertoire. A total of 17 artists will be involved in this project and in just the first series of lectures and 4 concerts, we will touch an audience of 800-1200.
Please note that it took the composers between 2 to 4 months to write such substantial chamber pieces for our large ensemble; the performing musicians will spend at least 50 hours rehearsing the program.
